I am participating in the Canuck Place Adventure Race in support of Canuck Place Children’s Hospice.
I am friends with a beautiful young family that has had the opportunity to use Canuck Place Children's Hospice with the treatment of their baby girl.
I have heard so many fantastic stories and testimonies of this Hospice around BC, but this is the first time it has directly help support a family friend.
The main purpose of doing this, for me, is to raise some money, support, awareness and be an active participate in this event. As a father of a young daughter my heart breaks for what this family has had to endure and the story they have and how its made them stronger.
The LEAST I can do is be apart of this event and help in this small way!
I hope, and ask, that you do as well, in whatever way you are able.
As BC’s recognized pediatric palliative care provider, Canuck Place supports children with life-threatening illnesses through respite for the entire family, pain and symptom care, 24-hour province-wide family support, art, education, music and recreation therapy, grief, loss, and bereavement counselling, and end-of-life care.
Please support me as I take the Canuck Place Adventure Race challenge. This bike, run, and obstacle course race won't be easy, but with the inspiration of the children and families in BC who face incredible obstacles every day and supporters like you by my side, a lasting impact can be made!
Every donation counts!
Thank you for helping me build courage for BC kids and families.
