Race as a Team

     Together, we are better.

While individuals are more than welcome to enter and complete the event on their own, everything is better with friends! The Canuck Place Adventure Race is a team-centred event where groups of friends, family members, students, and colleagues are encouraged to fundraise, train, and race together in support of BC's children living with life-threatening illnesses and the families who love them.

Please note: Each team member is still required to raise his or her minimum fundraising requirement individually. The purpose of the team is to encourage and support each other in your fundraising and training efforts so you can reach your goals together.

Form a Team

There are two options for forming a team for the Adventure Race:

1. A relay team with only three members in which each team member will complete one leg of the race (kayak, bike or run). For safety reasons, relay teams for the Teen Challenge will have four team members (age 14+) as the kayak portion must be completed by two members in a double kayak.

2. A fundraising team in which all members complete the entire race together. There is no limit to the number of members you can have on your fundraising team. This option is for groups of friends, family, students, and/or coworkers to identify themselves as a team and raise funds together. Dont forget: all team members must cross the finish line together!

You can start or join a team during the registration process

School Teams

The Kids' Challenge will take students age 6 - 13 years through an obstacle course, 2km bike ride, and 1km run while the Teen Challenge will put students age 14 - 17 years to the test with a 3km kayak, 20km bike ride, and 6km run.
